After collecting your hire car, please use the following as a guide to reaching us. Leave Salzburg airport bearing left at the end of the car hire terminal and follow the road to the traffic lights. Follow the A10 autobahn signs to Villach, passing over a couple of roundabouts and join the slip road to the right directly after passing under the bridge. Continue down the A10 for approximately 35 minutes and take the exit signposted Eben (directly after the Landzeit service station). Turn left at the bottom of the slip road and take your first left again signposted Filzmoos 11km. Continue on this road directly into Filzmoos. As you enter the village, Haus Lowe is on the left hand side just before the Grossberg chairlift.

Coordinates Reference When driving on the Austrian motorways you will require a ‘Vignette’ which can be purchased at the motorway service stations before entering Austria and costs approximately 8 Euros for 10 days. This needs to be displayed in your windscreen. These are usually already supplied on hire cars from Salzburg airport, but please check before leaving.
Train and BusOn arrival at Salzburg airport there is a trolley bus service every ten minutes into Salzburg centre directly into the main railway and bus station. TrainsThe trains run from Salzburg directly into Radstadt and then via taxi which is 18km from Filzmoos. The train also runs from Salzburg to Eben, again onwards to Filzmoos via taxi which is 11km. BusThe bus runs from Salzburg to Filzmoos for which you have to change at Eben. The bus number from Salzburg to Eben is 270 and the bus number from Eben to Filzmoos is 521.

Travel by Car from EnglandAustria is easily accessed by car on the ferry or tunnel from Dover to Calais and from Hull to Zeebrugge. The ferry from Hull to Zeebrugge is an overnight ferry and can refresh you before your trip onto Austria. The journey on the motorways through France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany is quite straight forward. There are no motorway tolls on this stretch of the journey. Before entering into Austria you will be required to purchase a ‘Vignette’ and stick this into your windscreen. The journey from the French coast takes approximately 10 to 14 hours depending on road conditions at the time.
