We are an English family from the Peak District in Derbyshire who have moved to Austria to enjoy the wonderful scenic surroundings in our every day life.

We were looking for the opportunity to move to Austria to own and run our own private guest house for over a year and found what we considered to be the perfect house in the perfect location and village.

Filzmoos is not dissimilar to the village we lived at in England with rolling hills and countryside but has the added benefits of living and working in a far more stress free and safe environment with many more Summer and Winter activities right on our own doorstep.

We chose to have our guesthouse specially built and it is situated right at the foot of the Grossberg chairlift in the centre of Filzmoos, where guests can ski in and out of the property and access all the interconnecting pistes directly from our door.

We chose this location due to its immediate accessibility to both the main ski lifts and the nursery slope in Filzmoos.  The nursery slope is just across the road from the house, from where you can ski across to the papageno gondola.  The ski school and ski hire shop are also situated across the road from our house.

Austria has a wonderful climate with four definite seasons.  Filzmoos is a snow sure village from December through to Easter and enjoys long Summer days with temperatures reaching up into the thirties and lakes within the surrounding areas reaching temperatures of 25 degrees.

Our aim is to offer a small, warm and family friendly guest house just as we have experienced in the past. 

We have spent many holidays in Austria in both Winter and Summer and hope that you will come along and join us at Haus Lowe for a memorable stay.
